Steve Kunkle is a Certified Fire Investigator, Certified Evidence Collection Technician, and Certified Fire Investigator with a Motor Vehicle Fire Endorsement through the International Association of Arson Investigators. Steve is also a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He has more than 40 years of experience in fire and arson investigation and has served as a firefighter, fire marshal, and fire chief. Coupled with his fire service experience, Steve is a graduate of National University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Behavioral Science. He teaches classes in Firefighting Safety and Survival, Fire Technology, Fire Behavior and Combustion, Fire Protection Systems, and Fire Prevention at Mt. San Jacinto College and has been doing so for more than 30 years. He is also a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, the California Conference of Arson Investigators, and the National Association of Fire Investigators.
JENNIFER L. CLEPPE: IAAI/FIT, NAFI/CFEI – Stagecoach, NV
Jennifer Cleppe is a Fire Investigation Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. Jennifer has nearly 20 years of experience in the fire service, including serving as a structural and wildland fire investigator, firefighter, paramedic, fire inspector, fire plans reviewer, and public educator. She currently serves as a Fire Prevention Specialist with the Central Lyon County Fire Protection District, conducting fire investigations within the district and assisting neighboring districts, including the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, State Fire Marshall, and Bureau of Land Management, as well as the Nevada Division of Forestry, to determine the origins and causes of both structural and wildland fires.
Jennifer is a member of several organizations, including the National Association of Fire Investigators, the Nevada Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators, and the Fire Prevention Association of Nevada.
