DAVID A. MEISBERGER: IAAI/CFI, CI, NAFI/CFEI – Little Falls, NJ
Dave Meisberger is a Certified Fire Investigator and Certified Instructor through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. Dave has more than 35 years of experience in the fire service. He served as Fire Marshal of the City of Clifton Department for more than 25 years. Prior to that, he held a fire inspector position with the same department and the Little Falls Fire Department. Coupled with his fire investigation roles, Dave has held many teaching positions, including as an adjunct instructor at Passaic County Community College and a state-wide instructor for the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.
Dave’s knowledge and experience in the fire service field include training in fire investigation, public fire education, fire suppression, interviewing techniques, building and construction codes and standards, and juvenile fire setting intervention. He is President of the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators. Outside of work, Dave has written many articles on fire safety for two local newspapers.
RAMON E. IRIZARRY: – Fair Lawn, NJ
Ramon Irizarry is an experienced expert witness in fire-related court cases. He is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. Ramon has more than 30 years of combined fire and law enforcement experience. He served as an arson detective with the City of Newark Department of Public Safety for 25 years. Ramon has conducted numerous criminal investigations into structure fires, vehicle fires, arson homicides, insurance fraud and arson for hire. He was one of the many heroes who first responded to the World Trade Center to assist in the search and rescue after the 2001 terrorist attack. Ramon has spent many years as a private fire analyst conducting investigations for insurance companies.
DAVID A. ROCK: E.E. – Blackwood, NJ
David A. Rock is an electrical engineer with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. Dave holds a Pennsylvania professional engineer license and has over 10 years of experience in the design and schematics analysis of electro-mechanical and industrial systems as well as extensive facilities electrical engineering experience. He has served as a lead electrical design and project engineer covering multiple facilities supporting commercial, institutional, educational, and healthcare industries. Dave is a mentor with the ACE Mentor Program of Eastern Pennsylvania, mentoring students from local high schools, helping them to learn more about potential careers in architecture, engineering and construction.
WILLIAM R. SCHLECK: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CFEI, CVFI – Newark, NJ
William Schleck is a Certified Fire Investigator and Evidence Collection Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators, as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator, and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Fire Protection Agency. William has over forty years of experience in the fire service and has been an instructor at the Middlesex County Fire Academy for the past twenty-five years. He is an Instructor for the NJ State Fire Inspector and Fire Official programs.
DANIEL WILLIAMS: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CFEI, CVFI – Wilmington, DE
Daniel Williams is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators, as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator though the National Association of Fire Investigators. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Association of Fire Investigators. Dan also serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators. He has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and retired as a Detective Corporal in April of 2015. Dan served as a Fire Investigator for with the Glassboro Police Department of Glassboro, NJ for over fifteen years. Dan has instructed trainings on juvenile fire setters, as well as evidence collection. He is a court qualified expert witness in the State of New Jersey.
NICHOLAS E. RAFFERTY: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CFEI – Doylestown, PA
Nicholas is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications NFPA 1033. He has more than 40 years of experience in the fire service, and was previously Chief Fire Marshal for the County of Bucks Fire Marshal Department until retirement in 2013. Over the span of his career, he has conducted more than 1,445 fire investigations since 1988. He is certified as an expert witness in civil and criminal court, testifying in Federal, State/County and local municipal courts in at least 54 cases. Nicholas has also been a certified fire service instructor for more than 25 years in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
WILLIAM E. RIEGER II: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CFEI – Woodbury, NJ
Senior Fire Analyst William Rieger II is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. In addition to being a court-qualified expert witness, William was the Gloucester County Fire Marshal from 1989 until 2009. He was also the Gloucester County Fire Coordinator from 1989 until 2008, and is currently a senior instructor at the Gloucester County Fire Academy. He earned his bachelor of science degree in criminal justice at Trenton State College. He is also a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Association of Fire Investigators.
JASON MULLER: NAFI/CFEI – Spotswood, NJ
Jason is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators and a Fire Investigation Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He has over 30 years of experience in the fire industry in various positions, including his current position as a Firefighter with the Jamesburg Volunteer Fire Department. Jason holds active membership with the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Association of Fire Investigators.
Daniel Pacewicz Jr.: NAFI/CFI – Turnersville, NJ
Daniel Pacewicz Jr. is a Certified Fire Investigator and Evidence Collection Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators, as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He has 28 years of experience in the fire industry in various positions, including his current position as Captain for the Washington Township Fire District in Gloucester County, New Jersey. He has nine years of experience as a fire investigator with the Washington Township Fire Investigation Unit. Daniel Pacewicz Jr. is a court-qualified expert witness.
THOMAS McANDREW: NAFI/CFEI, IAAI/FIT – Tuckerton, NJ
Thomas McAndrew is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and Certified Fire Investigation Instructor through the National Association of Fire Investigators, as well as a Fire Investigator Technician, with Motor Vehicle Endorsement, and Certified Instructor through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He has over 13 years of experience in the fire industry in various positions, including his current positions as Captain of the West Tuckerton Volunteer Fire Company and Fire Investigator for the Stafford Township Bureau of Fire Prevention in New Jersey.
RICHARD HARRON: NAFI/CFEI, IAAI/FIT – Cape May, NJ
Rich Harron has over 22 years of fire service experience, including serving as a firefighter, fire captain, fire chief, fire commissioner, and deputy fire marshal. He has conducted origin and cause investigations for over 17 years, from small residential to complex large-scale fires, including assisting the ATF National Response Team. He is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators and a Certified Fire Investigation Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He is also a Certified Fire Investigator and holds various other fire-related licenses and certifications through the State of New Jersey. Rich is currently a Deputy Fire Marshal with the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office, completing origin and cause fire investigations and teaching for the government of Cape May County, New Jersey. He holds an active membership with the National Association of Fire Investigators.
