THOMAS BALUTOWSKI: IAAI-CFI, CVFI – Narragansett, Rhode Island

Thomas Balutowski is a highly experienced fire investigator with a distinguished career spanning more than three decades in the fire service and public safety industry. He holds the Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI) designation through the International Association of Arson Investigators and is a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (NAFI-CVFI) through the National Association of Fire Investigators. Tom is Licensed Master Electrician, providing him with a strong technical foundation in electrical systems and fire causation. His background also includes experience in emergency medical services, rescue operations, and fire protection systems.

Tom has extensive fire investigation experience in both the private and public sectors and currently serves as a Fire Investigator/Inspector with the Providence Fire Department, where he conducts origin and cause investigations involving both structural and vehicle fires. He previously served over 30 years as a firefighter with the department, bringing deep, hands-on experience and practical insight to every investigation.

 

WILLIAM G. BARABY: BARABY: NAFI/CFEI, CVFI, Master Electrician  – Lakes Region, NH

William Baraby is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He retired as lieutenant and fire investigator from the Westport Fire Department in Massachusetts in 1999 after 21 years of service. He has served as an electrical investigator for the State Fire Marshal of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a licensed Master Electrician in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. William is a court-qualified expert witness in federal, superior, and district courts.
