D. SHAYNE ADAMS: IAAI/CFI,  NAFI/CFEI – Lawrenceburg, TN

Shayne Adams is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators, as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He has been in the fire service for more than 20 years with the City of Lawrenceburg and currently holds the position of Battalion Chief/Fire Investigator with the Lawrenceburg Fire Department. Shayne became a certified police officer in 2005, after which he was named Fire Investigator for the City of Lawrenceburg. He assisted the Lawrence County Sherriff’s Office with fire investigations from 2006 until 2010. Shayne holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Science.

JEFF HALER: IAAI/CFI- Memphis, TN

Jeff Haler is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He has over 30 years of experience in the fire service. During his career, Jeff has held the ranks of Training Officer, Captain, Fire Service Instructor, Fire Engineer, Fire Officer, and Fire Marshal. He has also been a private fire investigator since 2010. Jeff has served in leadership roles in the Iowa Chapter of the IAAI and served as the president of the chapter from 2017 to 2018. Jeff holds an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University as well as a degree in Auto Mechanics from Northeast Iowa Community College. He is a court qualified expert witness in the State of Iowa.

NANCY K. CARPENTER: IAAI/CFI – Chattanooga, TN 

Nancy Carpenter is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators. She has twenty-eight years of experience the fire service and was an active paramedic for fourteen years. Nancy recently retired after twenty-eight years with the City of Garland Fire Department in Garland Texas. During her career, she has served as a firefighter, fire investigator, EMT, field training officer and a juvenile firesetter program coordinator. Nancy has testified as an expert witness in dozens of criminal trials over her career. She has been investigating fires since 1992. Nancy is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Advisory Committee on Arson.

TROY A. LUMLEY: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CVFI – Greater Knoxville, TN area
Troy Lumley is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He has twenty years of experience in the fire service and currently serves as the Assistant Chief of the South McCreary Fire and Rescue Department in Pine Knot, Kentucky. He has also served as a Correctional Counselor for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for over two decades. Troy holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, AL. He is a member in good standing of the Kentucky Association of Arson Investigators and the Correctional peace Officer Association.

DALE H. BURRESS: IAAI/CFI- Drummonds, TN

Dale Burress is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He has over 40 years of experience in the fire service, including positions as a Fire Chief, Fire Investigator, and Training Officer. Dale has been working as a private fire investigator since 2006. He is a member of a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Association of Fire Investigators. Dale is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Technician
