KEVIN G. LLOYD: IAAI/FIT, NAFI/CFEI, Trenton, UT

Kevin Lloyd is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators, a Certified Fire Investigator Technician and a Certified Fire Investigator I by the Utah Fire Service Certification Council. He is a Utah Chapter Board Member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and member of the National Association of Fire Investigators. Kevin is an adjunct instructor at the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy where he teaches classes in Firefighter I & II, Extrication, Fire Behavior, Fire Investigation, Fire Inspector and Live Fire Instruction. He has over 20 years of fire service experience serving as firefighter, captain, fire investigator and currently as the lead investigator for the Davis County Fire Investigator Task Force.

 

TROY D. MILLS: IAAI/CFI, IAAI/CECT – Richfield, UT

Troy Mills has testified in court as an expert witness, is a Certified Fire Investigator and Certified Evidence Collection Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators. Troy has more than 15 years of experience in fire and arson investigation, including more than 30 years of progressive experience with the Springville Fire and Rescue Department. Most recently, he retired as Deputy State Fire Marshal of the Utah Office of the State Fire Marshal. Troy has previously served as a lineman for a municipal power company and has owned his own business maintaining and troubleshooting commercial and residential electrical systems. He has experience investigating power-related wildland fires.

In addition to his experience in the fire service, Troy earned an Associate of Science in Fire Science from Utah Valley State College. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the Utah Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators. Troy has served as a board member for the Utah Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators, and he has also held positions as president, first vice president, and second vice president.

 

ANDREW N. THOMAS: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CFEI – Pocatello, ID

Andy Thomas is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association Fire Investigators. Andy has 26 years of experience in fire and arson investigation and has conducted investigations in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. Additionally, he is a certified police officer with 31 years of progressive experience with the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office. Andy is also a graduate of Idaho State University, where he later became an instructor in the College of Law Enforcement and taught classes in Crime Scene Investigation, Preservation and Collection of Evidence, Death Investigation, Fingerprinting, and Auto Theft and Fraud Investigation for 12 years. He is also a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the National Association of Fire Investigators.
