DAVID A. SUTTON: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CFEI – Rutland, VT

David is an experienced expert witness in fire-related court proceedings. He is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He has over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, including serving as a deputy sheriff, a US Border Patrol agent, and a member of the Vermont State Police. Most recently, David spent 18 years as a detective sergeant/fire investigator for the Vermont State Police. He is a member of the National Association of Fire Investigators, and he has a degree in Criminal Justice from Mohawk Valley Community College. David is an experienced expert witness in fire-related court proceedings.

 

PAUL R. CERUTTI: IAAI/CFI, IAAI/FIT, NAFI/CFEI, Woodbury, VT

Paul Cerutti is a Certified Fire Investigator and Fire Investigator Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators, as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He is also a New York State Certified ProBoard Certified Fire investigator. In addition, Paul is a ProBoard Certified Firefighter I and a National Fire Protection Association Certified Plans Examiner. Paul is a liaison for the Fire Safety Division of the ATF for explosive licensing and inspection and certified by the Center for Medical Services to conduct fire safety surveys for hospitals and nursing homes.

Paul has more than 39 years of fire service experience, including his employment by the State of Vermont Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire Safety as an Assistant State Fire Marshal. During the last eight of those years, Paul served on the Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit. He is the Fire Chief of the Woodbury, VT Volunteer Fire Department where he has managed and commanded the daily operations of the 25 member organization since 2010.
