PERRY WELLER: IAAI-CFI – Fishersville, Virginia

Perry Weller holds the Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI-CFI) designation through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He brings nearly three decades of fire service leadership and investigative experience to NEFCO Fire Investigations. Prior to joining NEFCO, Perry served as a Certified Fire Investigator in the private sector as well as being Deputy Chief of Community Risk Reduction with the City of Staunton Fire and Rescue, where he played a key role in fire investigative operations.

Perry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science Technology from Pikes Peak Community College, graduating with top academic honors.

 

JEFF CROOKE: IAAI/CFI, NAFI/CFEI – King William, VA

J. Jeffrey Crooke is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) through the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI). He is licensed as a private investigator in Virginia and North Carolina. Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the fire industry in various positions, including his previous position with the Arlington County (VA) Fire Department as a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, Hazardous Materials Specialist, Lieutenant, and Supervisory Deputy Fire Marshal. He is currently employed as an Adjunct Instructor through the Virginia Department of Fire Programs for the Virginia Fire Marshal Academy, providing classroom and practical training for new students in Fire Investigation, Fire Inspection, and Basic Law Enforcement for Fire Marshals. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He holds an active membership with IAAI, IAAI Virginia Chapter, and NAFI. He is an FAA certified Unmanned Arial Systems remote pilot.

 

KEITH LINK: – IAAI/CFI- Waynesboro, VA

Keith Dustin Link is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI), Fire Investigation Technician (FIT), and Evidence Collection Technician (ECT) through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI). He has over 20 years of experience in the fire industry in various positions, including his current position as a firefighter and paramedic. He holds an active membership with the International Association of Arson Investigators.

 

TIMOTHY EDWARDS: IAAI/CFI – Jonesville, VA

Tim is a Certified Fire Investigator and Fire Investigation Technician through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He has over 35 years of experience in the fire industry in various positions, including his current position as Assistant Fire Marshal at the Henrico County Division of Fire. He maintains an active membership with the International Association of Arson Investigators, the National Association of Fire Investigators, and the Central Virginia Fire & Arson Association.

 

SHAWN MADDOX: IAAI/CFI, Stuarts Draft, VA

Shawn Maddox is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, the Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators, Virginia Fire Prevention Association, the International Association of Fire Chiefs, and the Virginia Fire Chiefs Association.

Shawn has more than 15 years of fire service experience, including serving as firefighter, paramedic, and deputy fire marshal/captain currently employed by the County of Albemarie Virginia. He is also an instructor for the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Fire Programs. Shawn has served in the US Army National Guard as an enlisted soldier for 8 years. He earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University and his Bachelor’s Degree of Science from Eastern Mennonite University. Shawn is an experienced expert witness in fire-related court proceedings.

 

ARNO J. RANDALL: IAAI/CFI,  NAFI/CFEI, CVFI – Hampton, VA

Arno Randall is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators, as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator and a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He is a court-qualified expert witness. He has more than 25 years of experience in the fire service and law enforcement and recently retired after 12 years as the Deputy Fire Marshal for the City of Hampton, Virginia. He is a certified Hazardous Material Technician, Environmental Crimes Investigator, and Fire Inspector.

 

TRAVIS W. COLLINS: IAAI/CFI – Roanoke, VA

Travis Collins is a Certified Fire Investigator through the IAAI. He has over 27 years of experience in the fire service including serving as a firefighter, hazardous materials specialist, heavy and tactical rescue responder, fire/EMS instructor, and field training officer. He currently serves as a lead fire investigator and evidence custodian with the Roanoke Fire-EMS Department. Travis holds certifications as a Hazardous Materials Specialist through the VA Department of Emergency Management, an Instructor Level II through the VA Department of Fire Programs, and a Certified Property and Evidence Manager through the International Association of Property and Evidence Technicians (IAPE).

 

LEE E. MOONEY: CFI – Hanover, VA

Lee Mooney is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators, and he has 13 years of experience in fire and arson investigation. He has more than 30 years of progressive experience with the Hanover County Fire & Emergency Medical Services Department, currently serving as a battalion chief. Lee also served as an accelerant detection canine handler for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Coupled with his fire service experience, Lee is a graduate of J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, where he earned an Associate’s degree in Fire Science. He is an adjunct instructor for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs, where he has been involved with the Virginia Fire Marshal Academy for 15 years, teaching courses in the fire investigator and law enforcement schools. Lee is also a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, the Virginia Fire Prevention Association, and the Central Virginia Fire and Arson Association. He is also an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.

ROBERT W. HENDERSON: IAAI/CFI,  NAFI/CFEI, CVFI – Charlottesville, VA

Senior Fire Analyst Robert Henderson is a Certified Fire Investigator by the International Association of Arson Investigators and by the Commonwealth of Virginia Fire Marshal’s Academy and the National Fire Academy, as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators. He is a court-qualified expert witness. Robert has served over 30 years as a professional police officer for the Fairfax County Police and Virginia State Police. He is a Certified Bomb Technician by the FBI/US ARMY Hazardous Devices School, Certified Hazard Materials Technician by the Department of Homeland Security, and a licensed private investigator in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Robert is a member of the board of directors of the Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.
